Windows 10: Coming out from S Mode in Windows 10

Hi,


To come out from S Mode in Windows 10, we generally download an app Switch out of S Mode from Windows Store.


In most cases, I found it works fine but in some cases Windows Store doesn’t allow to download the app without Microsoft Account.


Please let me know an alternate way for such scenarios.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I suggest you to check if you are facing the same issue in safe mode.

Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. It can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC. For example, if the problem doesn't happen in safe mode, you'll know default settings and basic device drivers aren't causing
the issue.

Also, I suggest you to follow the steps below:

Reset explorer.exe and check. Follow the below steps.

• Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
• In details tab, select explorer.exe and click on End Task.
• Click on File, select New Task and type “explorer.exe” and press Enter.

To start follow the below steps.

• Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC.
• Click on File>>Run New task, type explorer.exe and press Enter. It will display the Desktop.
