  2. Xbox Music only syncing 1-way (Computer to Phone) over cloud

The Music client on the phone is "read only" with respect to the cloud. That is to say you can't sync the play lists back to the cloud. I have to beleive this feature was cut to make sure they could hit the ship date. I really hope that it will come as
    an update in the future.

Applications that synchronize data content are hard to write and even harder to test. It would pretty easy to hose your entire collection with even just a minor bug. Was probably judged to risky for the release may have been pulled out to ship. Who knows.
I just gotta beleive that. It's such a huge miss for the release. Sometimes they have to make a really tough decisions, it's not like they would hold the release of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 for a month or two becuase the XBox Music Client on the Phone
can't sync changes back to the cloud. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we see a release with syncing back to the cloud.

I really want my playlist to roam with me.

Flash memory for Windows 8 Mobile? Never?

The 'cloud' is not private either. The parties that control the various clouds will come and go as they please, leaving behind users that will be subject to the next cloud owner's rules, etc. As long as the cloud is not directly owned and controlled by
the user it is still a third party device/site that is subject outside inspection and interference. There is nothing to stop a government source or discontented employee from getting into my 'cloud' files. Please tell me what is so evil about saving my information
to a flash card or USB flash device (or disk for that matter) vs the cloud.

It would be cool if they made a proper competitor to ChromeOS. Locking down the system is half the battle, invisible updates is the other half. And there's technically a third half of providing a truly portable user account, but it still remains to be seen if users are really interested in that - and Microsoft Accounts and OneDrive handles that fairly well.

Bonus points for if they can revive the old RT tablets with a new OS. That would improve customer acceptance and trust.

Blimey - you to laugh at inaccurate journalism (see bold bit)

Windows 10 Cloud is a simplifed version of Windows 10 that will be able to run only Unified Windows Platform (UWP) apps installed from the Windows Store, my contacts say. Think of it as being similar to the version of Windows 10 formerly known as Windows RT or the Windows 8.1 with Bing SKU.

The Windows 8.1 with Bing ran win32 apps perfectly well - it was simply a special compressed version to fit it on small memory devices!

they should call it DroidTen since it sounds like android. on a more serious note there are some laptops that have issues with the full win 10 experience and this might be a great solution for them, especially since a lot of those laptops blow away most tablets.
