Discus and support command: administrator/ active:yes in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I tried to install the update 20H2. It failed several times.     I tried to install the update 20H2. It failed several times.


    I have tried to use the command as mentioned above, but this is not possible.

    when I'am using cmd en want to choose : work as administrator the system don't recognized this command.




    please can you tell me what to do.

    Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile command: administrator/ active:yes :)

    Command prompt Administrator issue under Win 10

    Hello,

    Here's the alternative steps to run open the command prompt as administrator.

    • Press Windows Logo + X.
    • Select Command Prompt (Admin) to open command prompt as administrator.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community, we appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    Do let us know the following to assist you better:

    • Which was the host operating system on your device?
    • How did you attempt to change the settings and from where?
    • Were you using administrator account/ standard account?

    I suggest you to enable the Built-in administrator account and check if the issue persists.

    Steps to: Enable Built-in administrator.

    • Press Windows + X key together on your desktop screen.
    • Click on Command Prompt (admin) to open
      Command Prompt      .
    • Type the following command and hit Enter:
    • net user administrator /active: yes
      (Check for the spaces)
    • Now log off from the current user and try to login to the administrator account that is enabled.
    Note: Please follow the same steps and type net user administrator /active: no to disable admin account after the troubleshooting is done.
