    I keep trying to open the command prompt however i have been receiving the message "The application was unable to start correctly 0xc0000142. Click OK to close the application.".

    i can use conhost, however i m not being able to open command prompt. How do i stop this?.

    I am a Windows user and have upgraded to windows 10 pro. Since then I have been getting a error, " The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)" when I try to open command prompt. and similar errors while installing java. I have seen many
    people post about this error on the forum, but never got a perfect solution for it.

    Windows engineers who respond to the thread ask to open the command prompt (admin mode) and run some command. I mean its a cmd.exe error, command prompt CANNOT be opened.

    I have tried Event viewer but it doesn't show any error log's.

    I have tried changing the registry value of LoadAppint value, nothing changed.

    Please help me with a solution.

    This comes up on my lock screen sometimes over the password bar, every time it is opened from hibernate or a full shutdown.

    It is

    "ESRV.EXE - Application Error"

    "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application"

    I have intel driver update utility and driver update assistant both completely uninstalled. There is nothing related to intel in my startup, and nothing related to intel drivers in my msconfig services menu.

    Any help is appreciated.
