Command to display RAM Special Presence Detect SPD and RAM type (DDR4)

When using Speecy, HWinfo, CPU-Z, etc. they display Special Presence Detect (SPD) data and RAM type (DDR4 versus DDR3)

What commands are available that can display SPD data without using third party software?

Frequency, CAS #latency, RAS# to CAS#, RAS# Precharge, tRAS, tRC, Voltage, etc

What commands are available that can distinguish DDR4 versus DDR3 RAM and display DDR4 instead of 0 for unknown memory type?

This is an example of SPD data and data displaying DDR3 from Speecy: (the computer for this post did not have DDR4 and specifically DDR4 confirmation is needed when the computer is using DDR4 RAM)
(This computer displayed slot 2 data with anomalous data (different from other DIMM)

The command would be one that could be included in a log collector or could be ran manually.
It could be using administrative powershell or administrative command prompt.

These are commands that display some information about RAM but do not yet display the needed information: DDR4 and SPD

Some commands can display memory type up to DDR3 and display memory type 0 as unknown for DDR4

    Code: 0 = Unknown 20 = DDR 21 = DDR2 22 = DDR2 FB=DIMM 24 = DDR3[/quote] a) wmic memorychip get capacity, devicelocator, formfactor, manufacturer, memorytype, partnumber, speed, serialnumber
    b) wmic memorychip list full

    f) Get-WmiObject -class "Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray"

    DDR4 RAM

    Hi,
How about testing DDR4 RAM with memtest86+ v5.01? I am running it now, but seems it isn't detecting my RAM. Shows RAM: 0 MHz (DDR3 - 0) - BCKL: 0
Will this scan be correct, when will reach 8 passes?
    Thanks.

    Ram problems

    Hi,

To better assist you, please answer the questions below.

    • What is the full specifications of your computer?
    • Which type of RAM are you trying to install?
    • Have you checked if the total RAM is detected in the BIOS?
    • Have you tried installing just the 8 Gb RAM and see if the system detects it?

We suggest that you contact the computer manufacturer for information on how to enter the BIOS and how to set the default settings. Also, you can ask them if there is an available update for the BIOS.

We're looking forward to your response.
