    Community addressed a question I had about getting my printer to recognize the legal paper...


    The community solution offered did not fix my particular problem. I think it has to do with theinitial set-up of the paper tray containing legal size paper for printing PDF with both letter and legal size pages. and legal paper. In the popup menu for page scaling in the print tab, I checked "fit to printable area. I also selected paper source by "PDF page size option. The preview on the print setup page showed legal print job, but the paper was still being drawn from tray 1 letter size paper.

    Printer's default paper size ignored

    I often print to PDFs. My PDF printers are set to a default paper size of Legal. But when I print the size is Letter and I have to change it each time. This used to work. I'm not sure when it changed.
    • Windows Setting Manage Default Printer is not checked
    • Doesn't matter which printer I use - PDFCreator, Bullzip PDF, Adobe PDF
    • Windows 10 build 1803
    • Happens when printing from many apps - Microsoft Office, LibreOffice, Email
    • Works properly when printing from other apps - Notepad, Notepad++, browsers
    • Happens on multiple computers - desktop and laptop
    Any tips on how to get the printer default paper size to work?

    Epson WF-7510, when printing, no program will allow me to choose a legal paper setting.

    When we try and print on any program with any file type, we are unable to choose a legal size paper. This printer is capable of printing legal and has legal paper in it. We also set the paper setting to legal on the printer itself. In the advance settings
    of this printer, the paper type that the printer says it can use is only letter. Please advise.

    How can I get Windows 10 to recognize an Unspecified Device as a Printer?

    I have installed a DYMO printer, but it is not listed as a printer but only as an Unspecified Device. How can I get Windows 10 to recognize an Unspecified Device as a Printer? All printer troubleshooting steps require it to be listed as a Printer, and
    all Help solutions assume that it can be recognized as a printer.
