Windows 10: Comp. wakes from sleep every 2 minutes. Driving me mad.

At wits end! This started about four weeks ago and is driving me crazy. When the machine sleeps (activity light goes out and the on/off button pulsates every second), it starts up every 2 minutes without me doing anything. It then sleeps according to my Power setting for the remainder of the 2 minutes. When this started about 4 weeks ago it did it every 5 to 10 minutes. I did not make any changes about that time. I am a sole user on a desktop, not on a network. The only peripherals are a printer and a modem. Also two external USB HDs but switching them off does not help, nor leaving an opened file on the Desktop. Current Windows 10 Creators (Home). 8 GB RAM. 14 month old i5 computer. (See my spec).

Searching for this fault shows it is a long-standing problem over several years and Windows 7 to 10. Something being indexed repeatedly is mentioned. I have never changed my indexing setting.

To avoid wear and tear I have to set the computer Sleep to "Never". When leaving it even for a short time I have to save all work and shut down.

One option is to re-install Windows from Microsoft's site but that would erase all my programs which would be a real pain. (My C drive is an SSD holding only the OS and programs.) Copying one of my Macrium images would not help as the earliest is a week ago.

What can I do please to get rid of this annoyance?

Windows 10 : Invalid F Directory: error message

I don't have a D: Drive in this menu. My error tells me D: is invalid. Any ideas? This prompts me each time I start my comp and even wakes it from sleep mode to notify me.

 

Windows 10 1703 Build 15063.674 Missing DVD and Blueray Burners

This computer when it wakes up from sleeping it takes about a minute to wake up. Every time after it wakes up the drives are missing at random. If I do a hardware scan from the device manager the drives return. Any help here on a solution.

Can anyone address this problem.

I didn't know that EaseUS was active. I will try uninstalling it.
