    Compaq Presario SR5219UK Desktop PC - Not installing Windows Vista 32-bit!!


    Hello Community,On Thursday, I ran DBAN on the hard disk to securely erase all of the previous owner's data. After 6 hours of it running the DoD Short erasure process. I tried to install Windows Vista SP2 32-bit, and it wouldn't install it would give me the error saying that Windows couldn't enter the next phase of the installation. It was when it had just finished the "Installing Updates" part and looked like it was going to ask me to restart. I have tried Vista on a USB Flash Drive and a CD, neither which solved my problem, SP1 on a USB wouldn't get to the installation wizard while SP2 would

    factory restore of Presario F700 vista home premium 32 bit version 6.0.6000.16387

    I desperately want to but I can not perform a complete factory restore to my Compaq Presario F700 because this piece of @#%* is constantly giving me problems!!! I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit version 6.0.6000.16386. I have 25 digit product
    key but I do not have original installation disk or restore disk from a back up and computer will not let me create a restore disk. I HAVE TRIED f11 key & everything else can anyone PLEASE!!!! help me with some suggestions or solutions email me *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

    Hi PC community! I have the Compaq Presario sr5610f with a swapped Hp Compaq dx2450 Mi motherboard, and when I first booted up the Pc it said,

    NVIDIA Boot Agent 249.0542

    Copyright (C) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

    PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

    PXE-MOF: Exiting NVIDIA Boot Agent.

    When I reset the Pc and ran Diagnostics. The CPU, The Memory, The Hard Drive, And CD/DVD all passed and when it came to testing the Boot Path I got the message,

    Error Code : BIOHD-3

    Warning : No bootable drives detected.

    Suggestion : Please contact HP support

    Press any key to continue.

    What should I do?

    in device manger everything is installed but no removable disk show up in my computer so im guessing its missing a driver, computer was originally on win xp pro
