Windows 10: Compared & Installed Windows Vista, 7, 8.1 on Intel 945 Express Chipset has no problem...

As I observed to install one at a time on Windows XP, Windows Vista all version, Windows 7, Windows 8 and 8.1 had no problems into Intel 945 Express Chipset except Windows 10 have problems. Because whoever built that Windows 10 did not include the programs on the old programmed from all those Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 & 8.1.


If I installed Windows 10 on the Chipset that is Intel 945 Express Chipset it created 2 or 3 IRQ address or the I/O range resources drivers which occupies or grabs other IRQ address/I\O Range driver's space of other device drivers which created conflict to the other device drivers. That's what I saw and observed. The Windows 10 is the problem. They should fix that what I can see. I think the Microsoft Corp computer programmer should fix that issue. Can you please fix that?

My understanding after much reading.

Windows changed their mind about the 945-gm-pm chipset.

Pre release windows DID allow a driver to work, but was taken away later in final windows 8 and later.

A full windows, or forced install, DOES allow the windows to function with generic video driver.

If I remember correctly, there is one version of 945.xx video driver that does work in windows 8 or 10, but hard to find. There are two parts to this 945... the chipset and the video. There are discreet video cards on some of these laptops, using other driver
by nvidia and not intel.

It is getting less likely, as time goes by, for nvidia, intel, or microsoft to rewrite old drivers for old hardware on new windows. The linux community some times has support. I wish both manufactures would release some open source code, so others could
rewrite drivers for the new windows.

Could u try with this driver some Metro games from Microsoft Store?

For example Farmville 2 (I had problem on 945 Express with pink squares on the top numbers in the games.

Many games in WIn10 had problem with the empty background with installed driver for Win7.
