Windows 10: Complaint about 'Drag and Drop' keep sticking to my mouse pointer and not dropping!

I have been waiting for months for Microsoft to fix and discover this themselves but I have been waiting way too long to report it and it is an really annoying thing because sometimes it works after: Pressing Escape then grab the files again, go to the taskbar and wait for the selected app to pop up and drag the photos into Instagram or in the GUI of any 3D program or copy the files from one folder to another.In case of Instagram I have to click the +plus button I grab my selected photos and I want to drop them and they're not letting go of the mouse pointer. Hi Charles,

the steps you suggested didn't work for me but, when pressing the escape key it somehow expanded the drive and by using drag and drop to the single file in the list worked.

In the past I could drag and drop multiple folders onto the drive on the network computer(s). Doing it on individual folders will take far too long and time consuming and is not an option.

Microsoft should be able to identify what is blocking it and issue a fix.

My machine is multi boot so tomorrow I will try with Windows 7.

When using "Drag and Drop":

• "Alt + left mouse button" to create a Link/Shortcut
• "Ctrl + left mouse button" to Copy the file
• "Shift + left mouse button" to Move the file
