  1. Completely full laptop after 2 months

    Hi all,

I recently got a new laptop after having the same one for 8 years, and went for a 32GB HP Stream as all of my files are cloud based for my uni work so I only really needed one or two programmes on it. It was working really well, but then two weeks ago it started to slow down significantly and kept bringing up notifications that the storage was full. I’ve done disk cleanup multiple times as admin and user and nothing comes up, and I’ve just tried to reset as I now can’t open Audacity due to disk space but it says that I need 4 more GB free to reset. Does anyone have any ideas what I can do as I really need the laptop to do uni work on. Thanks in advance!

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Completely full laptop after 2 months :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

Core 2 Duo for laptop CQ40-314TU

I have found something about CPU Upgrade on the Intel's Website, the manufacturer of my laptop's chipset (GM45 Chipset). Currently, the CPU which this laptop is using (Dual Core T3400) is NOT in this list: http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=35509
The laptop's chipset also support Core 2 Extreme Technology, which I think the latest CPU Technology.
I have another laptop called Acer Aspire 5572ANWXMi that is using the chipset 945GM which support the T7600 (like you suggested) and it is in this list: http://ark.intel.com/chipset.aspx?familyID=22816
