Completely isolate Application from rest of computers resources and files?

Is their a way to completely isolate computer from the files, recourses and network that isn’t a virtual machine(can’t use virtual machine cause they can’t run games because I can’t GPU passthrough on windows)? My cousin is coming over soon and he always bring cracked games (that most likely has malware) but my parents gonna make me let him use the games on my PC. Most of them don’t use WiFi so that isn’t a big deal, but I don’t want it download a malware that encrypts my files or download some spy/malware.

    Thanks in advance.

  2. your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource(web proxy) is not responding

    Hi,

The error message "your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource(web proxy) is not responding" that you are getting, may have something to do with your profile or with the Windows components of your computer. With that said,
we will be performing some troubleshooting steps to isolate the cause of this problem. Before we proceed, kindly answer the following:

    • When did you start experiencing this issue?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Can you send us a screenshot of the error message? Make sure that you remove all personal information.

In the meantime, we suggest that you download the app troubleshooter on this
    link
and then run it on the computer.

Please post back with the result for further assistance.

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Completely isolate Application from rest of computers resources and files? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
