Windows 10: Completely reset laptop smooth but very slow at the same time

Hello, so recently a family member landed me a laptop its maybe a few years old.It runs very smoothly but time to time the laptop is very slow and freeze every few minutes, even when starting up the laptop its very slow it's takes 1 minutesor 2 to startup, then once my pin is put it the screen goes black and then it takes a while for the background and taskbar to load.I've tried updating everything new updates and geforce experience device updates too and ever reset the laptop completely fresh and new but nothing seems to work I've cleaned the dust out aswell and nothing so i would like to kno

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

What is smooth scrolling?

Smooth scrolling is a feature available in Internet Explorer that allows you to scroll through a web pages smoothly, as the name of the feature suggests. If this is turned off, when scrolling through a web page, you'll notice that the scroll
bar slides down as if it's slightly delayed, but if this is turned on, the scroll bar slides down smoothly, without delay.

What is the error that you see on Startup? Provide complete and exact error code or message.

I suggest that you run the SFC scan and check if it helps to improve the Computer performance. Follow the steps :

• Press Windows + X
• Click Command prompt (Admin)
• Type sfc /scannow
• Press Enter
