Windows 10: Completing updates - screen hang for several minutes

We could not complete the updates. Undoing changes. Dont turn off your PC.I get this memo on a daily basis each time I switch on my PC. How to stop it appearing again and again.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Windows 10 hangs at login screen after latest update

Windows 10 completed latest updates but now hangs at login screen. I type in the local password and the spinner starts to spin and then it just hangs. Suggestions?

Does this not address your step 4 link? Unless I went to the wrong step 4.

I have tried updating, several times, it always hangs (does not complete and comes up with the error in the title).

No tweaks, unless dell's update software interferes with Windows Update (though I thought that was just for drivers and such).

I am open to doing the repair install, do I download a windows iso?
