    I am trying to download Nacsport Basic+ Sport Analysis Software and it now comes up with "Component 'COMCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. It was working fine, i then went to put in the product code, needed to be admin to submit it, so i ran it as admin and now it does not work.

    Hi,

    I'm trying to run a program on my computer but it says 'Component comctl32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid'. I've seen this topic on the forum before and read your answers to these posts. I tried to
    find the missing file by typing in cmd in the start menu, but that didn't work out because the file is nowhere to be found on my computer. I've also done a systemscan like you said in another post, to check if all Windows-folders are there, and the scan didn't
    give any missing files. But I can't find the comctl-file anywhere.

    Could you help me out? Further information: I have Windows 10 Home (32-bit).

    Welcome and thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Please follow the steps to re-register the component and check if it helps:



    Verify if comctl32.ocx is in C:\windows\system32 folder. If you, you may try re-registering the file.



    1. Go to start and type
    cmd    .

    2. Right-Click on cmd and select “Run as Administrator”.

    3. Type regsvr32 comctl32.ocx and press Enter.



    If successful you should get a popup saying "DllregisterServer in

    comscl32.ocx succeeded"
