Windows 10: Computer Abruptly and Randomly Restarting

Looking at event viewer, I managed to see that before the critical error marking the sudden restart, another error popped up:"Volume C: \Device\HarddiskVolume3 needs to be taken offline to perform a Full Chkdsk. Please run "CHKDSK /F" locally via the command line, or run "REPAIR-VOLUME <drive:>" locally or remotely via PowerShell."I've researched on this error, and so here's what I've tried:- Running chkdsk /f- Running chkdsk /r- Ru

Windows clean installation stops abruptly and restarts

I'm installing windows 10 home on a used machine. the hard drive is new. i can get the installation started and after a few moments to a few minutes of the getting files ready step the computer abruptly restarts.

 

Random shut down and restart??

Computer: Intel (R) Pentium (R) Dual cpu
E220@2.406hz
2.42 GHZ, 2.00 GB of RAM
Windows xp

Ever since I replaced the fan (with heat sink) the computer has randomly shut down and then restarted, at first during streaming, and now, will shut down and restart anytime. I tried to replace the graphics card to no avail. *Confused *Mad

One suggestion was to replace the RAM.

Any suggestions on how to repair my computer?
