    I have a pretty good PC. I have a 10900k and a RTX 2080Ti with 32 GB ram. On a M.2 SSD

I did a benchmark and my ram was not performing as well as it should. I'm only getting 2133 out of the 3200 I paid for. So I look online and I saw this thing called XMP. I try it out, computer acting a little odd. I try going into the superposition benchmark to test out my new FPS. All the sudden the worse FPS drops ive ever seen. I get mad. I then for some reason tried doing a internet speed test and then my computer blue screened and my heart dropped. I was angry and sad because I wish it worked well. I went back into the bios when my computer was restarting and I set my bios back to default settings. I hop back on and things seem a little odd but I tried the internet speed test and it didn't crash my computer. I was like finally this problem is over. I go to play a game I used to get a solid 240 fps on max but it had terrible frame drops. I went back into bios to see if XMP was on but it wasn't. Now my computer seem generally slower and I feel helpless. I am still getting bad frame drops. I tried updating my drivers for the GPU but it did nothing! Did I brick my RAM?

    :)

  2. ACT Pro 2013 will not open in Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

The most likely causes on a standalone are a damaged or invalid .pad file or SQL is not running, or is damaged.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

      • Click your Windows Start button, choose Run and type in actdiag.

      • When ACT! Diagnostics comes up, click Databases, the Database List.

      • Locate your database in the list, right-click on it and select Detach. Make sure you know the filepath to your database before detaching it.

      • When the database has been detached, open My Computer (or Windows Explorer) and browse to the location of your database.

      • Locate the .PAD file for your database [database name].pad and delete it.

      • Reopen ACT!...you will get a message that the last database opened cannot found, then will be taken to the Open Database dialog box.

      • At the bottom of this box, change the Files of Type to .adf, browse to the location of your database and double-click on the .adf file for your database.

      • You will get a message that ACT! will verify your database, click OK and ACT will reattach your database to SQL and create a new .pad file.

      • Hope this helps.

  3. Sound is terrible

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community and showing your interest in Windows 10.

In order to help you better, please provide the information:

    • What is the make and model of the system?
    • Do you face the same issue when you plug in an external speaker?
I suggest you to go through the following article and check if that helps:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/fix-sound-problems#v1h=tab01

If issue still persists I would suggest you to Uninstall and Reinstall the Sound Drivers.

Step 1: Uninstall the Sound Drivers.

    a. Press “Windows Logo” +
    “X” keys on the keyboard.

    b. Click on “Device Manager” from that list.

    c. Search for the Sound Drivers from the device list, right click
on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted
    drivers from the computer.

    d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then
    restart the computer if prompted.

After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the Sound Drivers and then install it.

Hope this information helps you. Please do let us know if you need further assistance.
