Computer ALWAYS BSODs before Windows starts

PC always BSODs (mostly SystemThreadExceptionNotHandled but not all the time) before starting Windows except when:

    * I go to BIOS settings and stay there for about 30secs.
    * The computer was already on then shutted down, for up to 10mins. (without plugging off power)

    // Most of the time, when it BSODs, it says the computer will restart after doing something but it will always be stuck at 100% and I have to manually restart;
// But sometimes, the power just goes out (fans stop spinning) after about 5secs. And after I press power button again, the PC will boot windows without BSOD.

    :)

  2. BSOD on HP Envy Windows 10 Happens overnight everynight

No it is not fixed, BSOD today and I put 2 dmp files on cloud. I turned verifier on before I rebooted. Once verifier is on, I cannot start my PC at all, always crashes to BSOD.

(0xc000021a) Windows 10 crashes upon start up (BSOD)

    Hi Rob,

I try my best to not make my computer end up in a repair shop, and try to fix it myself. But I seem to have a problem,I just used the Media Tool to install Windows 10 onto a USB,I have plugged it into my computer (before it was on),but there is no option to boot
from the USB.Is this a problem?

(The computer starts off,and the BSOD occurs, then it runs automatic repair, which fails, which always brings to Advanced Troubleshooting, and I cannot find the option there)

    Thanks,

    Dan.

Did you ever update your BIOS or did the BIOS come with the motherboard (as in you've never updated it or something)? The BIOS version 1.20 isn't on the support page of ASRock.

Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU, cooling and other used stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, etc.
The PSU, cooling and other stuff are NOT mentioned in the tool.
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'. After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

No, I didn't update my BIOS. Just the drivers, after I installed Windows.

Alright, please try to update the BIOS. How to update the BIOS is described in the manual of your motherboard. Please read the manual carefully, if you have any questions about updating the BIOS (after reading the manual) please ask them before attempting to update the BIOS.

Whoa. I'm not really sure if that's a good thing. I've read several bad things happen after updating the BIOS like Audio panels not working, Integrated LAN, etc... . Not sure if those reports are due to absence of drivers but still, it's somehow scary. But I will try updating my BIOS after I research more. Thanks for your response *Smile

We all mainly read about the complaints, because those where it goes properly don't bother to let others know unless when they are being asked for their experience.

For an example, take Windows (7 to 10). There are hundreds of millions of users where 'many' complain about several things, these users that complain are compared to the total amount of users, from which you don't hear anything because they have more important things to do, a (very) small percentage. This (very) small percentage is who you see the most.

I personally don't find it a proper reason to not update the BIOS because there are some who have some bad experience with it.
Yes, there is always a risk that something goes wrong, but the risk that something goes wrong is mostly very small.

That being said, I would like to provide you with a warning about updating the BIOS.
If you think that there may be a risk your computer unexpectedly shuts down while updating the BIOS, then don't update the BIOS.
When the system shuts down while the BIOS is being updated, then the motherboard is bricked and can no longer be used.
The exception is there when the motherboard has a dual BIOS making it possible to recover the BIOS, in case you don't know your motherboard has a dual BIOS.

I've updated my bios to 1.40.

Nothing went wrong so far but the problem still persists. After being shut down for a long time, when I boot my pc, it loses power(fans stop spinning). Until i press the power button again. Which will then boot my PC without problems.

    Which fans stop spinning?
Are the cables of those fans properly connected to the motherboard?

All of them. 2 case fans and the cpu's hsf. All my wires are properly connected. I just used that fact to indicate that power loses somehow after booting for the 1st time.

I tried replacing the PSU but the problem is still there so I guess it's not really the hardware that causes it. Recently, booting up my pc resulted into a SystemThreadExceptionNotHandled and I attached my latest DMLog compressed file
