Windows 10: Computer appears to bootup but leaves a black screen

The subject computer has an ABIT TH711 motherboard and is running Microsoft 7, 32 bit.On boot-up, the screen shows loading files, then shows Microsoft loading and then BLACK SCREEN. I was able to launch Safe mode but all trouble shooting software within safe mode came up with “could not fix problem”. Decided to boot-up with Microsoft 7 disc to load new 7 version but ended with same result and could not install new version. Question, if you boot up on a Microsoft 7 dvd, does the computer then try to load all the programs on its previous startup list? I know Microsoft 7 is no l

I realize the inconvenience you are experiencing with black screen issue on Windows 10.

The issue could occur if display adapter driver is corrupt.

To assist you better, please provide us the below information:

• Is the black screen issue occurring when you logged in to the computer?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to keep your computer connected to the internet while running the online DISM command as suggested by
Mayank Gupta10 in the previous post.

Also I recommend you to try to install the latest version of display driver from the website of computer's manufacturer and check if it helps.
