Windows 10: Computer audio cuts off when I join meetings

Whenever I join a meeting of any sort can be Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, etc my computer cuts off all audio, I can't hear anything in the meeting and I can't hear anything playing on my computer outside of the meeting. Even when I completely close the app I had the meeting in, computer audio takes a minute to resume playing.

Join Teams for work or school meeting with personal Microsoft account

Microsoft Teams Insider Blog: As a part of ongoing work to improve the experience when joining Teams meetings, we have just made a new update available for Teams Insiders. When using your personal Teams account to join a meeting that originated from a Work or School Teams account, you previously had to join as a guest, often causing your meeting to open in a web browser with limited functionality. Now you can join as your signed-in personal Microsoft account from within the Teams app on Windows 11, providing a better meeting experience for all parties. In the first phase of rolling out this new functionality, you will get the new experience when joining a Teams for work or school meeting from within Teams free by tapping a Teams for work or school meeting link in a chat or community within Teams free. Your signed-in personal Microsoft account will be used when you join the meeting.

If you dont have the Teams meeting in your Teams free calendar, a nice little trick is to forward the meeting invite to the email you use to sign in to Teams free. Then you will have the meeting neatly in your Teams calendar, readily available for you to join the meeting when its time. How to join Teams Insider? Its easy to join Teams Insider for earlier access to new features and improvements:

1. Go to app settings in Teams free
2. Navigate to Teams Insider program section (you can get there directly with this link)
3. Tap Join button to join Teams Insider
4. Restart the Teams app and you have the latest features and improvements

How to stop audio from cutting out on the drivers end?

I know you're experiencing audio cutting out on your device. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Update audio drivers: Ensure that you have the latest audio drivers installed on your device. You can visit the manufacturer's website or the support page for your specific audio device model and download the latest drivers available. Install the updated drivers and see if it resolves the audio cutting out issue.
   
2. Check audio cables and connections: If you're using external speakers or headphones, make sure the cables are properly connected to both the audio source and the output device. Try unplugging and re-plugging the cables to ensure a secure connection. If you're using wireless headphones or speakers, check the Bluetooth or wireless connection to ensure it's stable.
   
3. Adjust audio settings: Sometimes, certain audio settings can cause interruptions or audio cutouts. Follow these steps to adjust the audio settings on your device:
   
   • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right corner of the screen) and select "Playback devices."
     
   • In the Sound window, select your audio device and click on "Properties."
     
   • Go to the "Advanced" tab and try changing the default format of the audio. You can experiment with different sample rates and bit depths to see if it improves the audio stability.
     
4. Disable audio enhancements: Some audio enhancements or effects can interfere with the audio playback and cause interruptions. To disable audio enhancements, follow these steps:
   
   • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices."
     
   • In the Sound window, select your audio device and click on "Properties."
     
   • Go to the "Enhancements" tab and check the box that says "Disable all enhancements." Click "OK" to save the changes.

Online meetings audio problems

Hi guys, I have a serious problem for my online meeting after I updated to win11. It says that Zoom and Google Meet fail to detect my audio system but when I go for test Mic and speaker function, they all work well. Discord and other apps like valorant mic functions are working but just for zoom and google meeting are facing this problem. I've downloaded the latest audio driver for my computer but it just doesnt works at all. Help and suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks at all!
