Hi all - I've been using my laptop perfectly fine and thought it had good specs i7, 16GB ram, 1TB SSD but ever since the system auto updated my Windows 10 OS to Windows 11, it has been a nightmare. My battery health, after numerous diagnostics shows at 98%, but still the computer just turns off when on battery power for more than 2 mins. Even when on charge, it stays on, but completely freezes after a few minutes.It's gotten to a point where I have to plan exactly what I need to do, turn the system on which is a hard turn-on each time so a full boot-up as I know the laptop will only give m

I followed your clear step-by-step instructions, and, sure enough, Auto Power On was set for 1:00 AM, the very time of the two "events" from yesterday, which I was able to discover by following the earlier suggestion by Shawn Brink, for which thank you,
too.

As you suggested, I selected "Disable" at Auto Power On.

Am I correct that the BIOS is not part of Windows 10? That is, would not the BIOS be the same whatever Operating System had been installed by Dell? If so, and if your suggestion proves to be a fix (as I sincerely hope), then I owe Microsoft an apology. But
I am still wondering why anyone would set the default on a computer to turn itself on by itself without notice every night. At the least, I should think Dell could have included in the shipping box a note alerting to this BIOS setting, and how, if one wished,
to undo it.

Are you meaning that once you type in Search box on IE 11, you see Search Suggestions appear?

Do you see the option to Turn Off Search Suggestions at the bottom of the list?
