    Computer battery


    I think I somehow changed the battery charging amount and to not fully charge, thinking that it would make the battery last longer and not get unnecessary charging, but I have it rather low to 60% and would like to know how I can change it if I can? I dont believe it's a problem with my computer, just something I changed maybe in the battery settings but I can't seem to find it again. Please tell me what to do to restore the battery charging capacity.

    I'm windows 10 and I have an ASUS

    Hi Alexander,

    To understand the issue better, I would like to ask some questions:

    • What is the make and model of your computer?
    • From when are you facing this issue?

    I suggest you to connect the computer with a different charger cable and check if the issue persists. I suggest you to run the Power troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

    • Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
    • Click on “View all” on the top left pane.
    • Select "Power" from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

    Also, I would like to let you know that battery problems are often related to the battery itself. If you're experiencing this problem, contact your laptop manufacturer. If you purchased the battery separately, contact the battery manufacturer.

    Also check for any utility release from your laptop manufacturer.

    What is the make and model of the laptop?

    I suggest you to un-install and re-install battery drivers from Device manager and check. Follow the steps:

    • Press Windows Key + X.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Batteries and right click on Batteries ACPI and click on Un-install.
    • Restart the computer and check.
