Windows 10: Computer Black Screen Help.

In these few months, the black screen issue is becoming a really frustrating issue for me as I can't seem to locate the issue. I've owned this computer for the past 4 years and these issues never surfaced until two months ago.

I'm running an Intel i7-6700 and a GTX950 with one of ASUS's H11 motherboards.

The first time the black screen occurred around two months ago, Windows 10 (version 1909) failed to boot after restart, so I used a bootable drive to run CHKDSK on my C: drive and fixed the issue.

The second time it occurred around last month Windows failed to boot as well, CHKDSK didn't work so I reinstalled the OS to Windows 10 (version 2004). And it worked flawlessly until today.

Today alone, the black screen issue hit me 3 times. The issue always hits me while I'm playing Diablo 3 (for some reason) and my CPU/GPU temperatures are normal around 80-85 degrees celcius. Other more demanding games (Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed Odyssey) seems to run fine without issues. Could it be a sign for aging hardware? It's really frustrating.

Edit: Note that when the black screen occurs, the computer still functions as normal as I can still hear the audio coming from the headphones. Only video gets cut off. The issue also does not come from a faulty cable as I have tried changing the HDMI cable that is used for video output.

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
