    Computer Blue Screening Crashing For some Games - Can't figure out why

    System:i9-10850k @ 3.6 GhzGigabyte H410M H V232 GB Corsair Ram 2 x 16 GB1 TB M2 SSD HDGeForce 1050 tiAbout a month ago my computer just died on me. After some troubleshooting, I determined it to be the motherboard as it wasn't giving any bios beeps.So I ordered an older style motherboard that supported socket 1151Once I rebuilt the computer it functioned normally, I was able to play the game I was playing at the time: Baldur's Gate 3I played it for awhile with no issues, it wasn't until I tried playing other games that I discovered my computer is blue screening.At first it was Studio 17 games

  2. Games crashing and computer blue screening

    Hi Dude1016,

    Thanks for raising your concern in Microsoft Community.

    It sounds like you are encountering games crashing and computer blue screening. It's a pity that I can't access the link you provided. Would you like to share the blue screen log file with us via Private Message? We will check if there are any valuable information for resolving the issue after investigation and analysis.

    • You could press the Windows+R key combination, paste %SystemRoot%\Minidump and run it to get the blue screen log.
    • If there is no log in the check:
    1. Right-click the Start logo button in the lower left corner, select System, click Advanced system settings→Settings (startup and failure recovery)→Select Minidump in Write debugging information drop-down menu, and confirm;
    2. Then check the virtual memory settings, click Settings (Performance) → Advanced tab → Change → check Automatically manage paging file size for all drives → and exit after continuous confirmation.
    When the blue screen is displayed again, the log file can be found in the same way as before.

    Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards,

    Crash/blue screen

    Hi

    I assume from the title of your post Crash/Blue Screen that the PC has crashed and produced a *BSOD=[Blue Screen Of Death] =Blue Screen; and that the PC recovered from this; if and when you see the Blue Screen write the Stop Code down; recover the PC or use one that is working to access the net and look up the Stop Code.

    nb: You may be able to view this with a [*BlueScreenView] application, google for this.

    Edit Link - Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.

    Description
    ===========

    BlueScreenView scans all your minidump files created during 'blue screen
    of death' crashes, and displays the information about all crashes in one
    table. For each crash, BlueScreenView displays the minidump filename, the
    date/time of the crash, the basic crash information displayed in the blue
    screen (Bug Check Code and 4 parameters), and the details of the driver
    or module that possibly caused the crash (filename, product name, file
    description, and file version).
    For each crash displayed in the upper pane, you can view the details of
    the device drivers loaded during the crash in the lower pane.
    BlueScreenView also mark the drivers that their addresses found in the
    crash stack, so you can easily locate the suspected drivers that possibly
    caused the crash.

  4. Computer Blue Screening Crashing For some Games - Can't figure out why

    Blue Screens & Computer Crashes

    I keep getting Blue Screens that crash my computer. Many different "codes" come up to tell support techs. Many trusted techs tried by remote access to my computer. None succeded(sp?). I came to the Community and found several suggestions and a tech came
    on to chat and was authorized to gain remote access. Afterwards, I had no blue screen crashes for a day & just now had another blue screen.

    Can someone help?
