Windows 10: Computer BSODs on startup

Hey all,

After getting home from work a few nights ago I went to boot up my "work" computer only to be met with a BSOD. The code was "Critical Service Failed"

I restarted it a few times to no avail. I tried waiting a day without anything plugged in and it still BSOD'd, the automatic start up repair couldn't do anything. After that I tried to do a system restore but it failed halfway through and I don't even have a restore point listed anymore for some reason. It runs in safemode but that's it. Even if I disable all startup apps/programs(aside from microsoft ones) and attempt to re-start it without safemode it'll still crash. I've also ran a diagnostics test and saw that it isn't a hardware issue. I've already done the sfc/scannow without any avail. dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth also fails at around 84.6% and states it can't be finished in safemode.

Any ideas/advice you guys can share? Thanks.

It's a HP Touchsmart600 , 64 bit running windows 10. I haven't downloaded anything recently, willingly at least.

Can't get GPU-Z to start with Windows 8.1 startup

I'm not sure how to do that. Could you list the steps for a noob?

 

Nvlddmkm.sys BSOD on startup?

The problem is the laptop (specs in signature) not rig in system specs.

Sometimes when I switch it on, Vista loads normally.
Other times, just after the horizontal 'loading' bars and before the Vista orb appears, I get a BSOD of Nvlddmkm.sys or Nvlddmkm.dll then the laptop reboots, BSOD's, reboots... it can happen like 5 times!

I've been googling all morning but apparently there's no solution to this?

It does the BSOD only during startup. Once Vista loads, it never BSODs not even during a game.

 

BSOD on startup repeats

Ok so I just built my brand new computer which included replacing every part but the hard drive. Upon startup I get the BSOD screen saying "system thread exception not handled" and in parenthesis I see "AODdriver2.sys. I can only access safe mode since
the BSOD loops. I tried going to my display adapter and updating it but that didn't work since I already had the latest update. Despite having an RX 480 in the system my display adapter was listed as "windows basic display adapter". Can anyone help me with
more steps. Btw whenever I click on "update and security" in the settings menu nothing happens and I get returned to my desktop which I found peculiar. Anyways thanks for anyone help.
