    Chiming computer

    When turning on my windows 10 computer it starts chiming, this goes on for approximately 1 minute, screen is black during the chime and stays black until it finally goes into windows this is when it stops chiming as well, what does this mean, this computer
    is approximately 2 years old.

    No Chime on Startup

    Please follow the below methods and check if that helps.

    Method 1: Update sound adapter driver.

    Step 1: Check for the latest driver update through Windows Updates.

    • At the Start screen, type Windows Update.
    • Click or tap Settings on the right side of the screen, and then select
      Install optional updates from the left results.
    • When the Windows Update control panel opens, click on “Check for Updates” on the top left corner to receive a fresh list of updates.
    Incompatible or not properly installed graphics card drivers are the most common cause of this issue.

    Step 2: Follow the steps below to update the sound drivers.

    • Press Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    • Go to device manager.
    • Right-click your sound/audio device.
    • Click Update Driver Software and then follow the steps in the wizard that appears.

    Method 2: Update the latest drivers from the website.

    Go to the manufacturer’s website
    and update the drivers.

    Thanks, but I don't want to set the clock so it chimes on the hour. I want to set it so it DOESN'T chime on the hour.
