Windows 10: Computer connected via ethernet, no WiFi. can i connect phone via USB to computer to get...

My computer is connected via ethernet. WiFi and bluetooth gives me bad headaches, i think it is my human brain mass:. Seems Europe is now banning WiFi in schools for this reason too. So I have no WiFi. Can i connect my 1 year old samsung A32 phone via a USB to computer to get internet connection? I see there is a microsoft app for this but i think its via bluetooth or WiFI. I just want my phone connected via wire to my computer and my phone to use my home internet data and not phone data, so i can switch off the phone data. Thanks.

Connecting Printer to 2 Ethernet computers !

Yes, it should be possible to connect to a printer that is connected to the wireless network while the computer is connected via ethernet.

You just need to be sure that both the wireless network and the wired network are configured to be a part of the same logical network.

You may want to check the user guide for your printer. There should be a way to press a key combination on the printer or go through a menu to print a status page. You want to be sure that the printer is connecting to your network successfully.

Once that is done, you should be able to go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. If your printer does not show up in the list already, you should be able to select "Add a printer or scanner" to add that printer to the list.

EDIT: I should note that this is exactly how my older Brother printer is connected. It is connected using WiFi and my machines that use WiFi as well as those that use Ethernet can access it.

 

Connected by Ethernet and WiFi

Right now my computer is connected by 1.0 Gbps Ethernet and 1.3 Gbps WiFi. Can Windows 10 take advantage of this or should I disable one these connections?

 

Wifi not connecting without Ethernet cable


Basically what happened before: After updating to Windows 10, my computer was not showing any network options. (The icon says "Not connected - No connections are available) Going into Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network Connections, it then says "Local Area Connection Network cable unplugged". I ran diagnostics and it said to plug in the ethernet cable to the network adaptor. So my wifi connection will not work with my laptop unless directly connected to by the ethernet cable. Wifi works fine with phones, ipods/ipads, and another laptop that was also updated to windows 10/a desktop still using windows 8.
