Windows 10: Computer connecting to an non existing ethernet connection

I've recently having internet problems as my computer is connecting to a connection under the name "ethernet" but it has 0 mb/s in the last 30 days. I've always used a connection under the name "Network 2" and still do but when I notice my internet is down I see that my computer is connected to the ethernet connection. When I look through all my network settings the only one that shows up is network 2 but I cant specify to use that one and can't delete the "ethernet" connection. Also I do use ethernet for internet.

• What kind of computer are you using? Is it a desktop or a laptop?
• Did you make any recent changes to your computer?
• Have you tried troubleshooting the issue by yourself? If yes, what were the steps you have taken so far?

I would suggest you to try the following and check:

• Verify that the cable connects the modem to the wall jack is connected securely.
• Verify that the cable connects the computer to the modem is attached securely at both ends.
• Restart the router/modem.

Connecting Printer to 2 Ethernet computers !

Yes, it should be possible to connect to a printer that is connected to the wireless network while the computer is connected via ethernet.

You just need to be sure that both the wireless network and the wired network are configured to be a part of the same logical network.

You may want to check the user guide for your printer. There should be a way to press a key combination on the printer or go through a menu to print a status page. You want to be sure that the printer is connecting to your network successfully.

Once that is done, you should be able to go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. If your printer does not show up in the list already, you should be able to select "Add a printer or scanner" to add that printer to the list.

EDIT: I should note that this is exactly how my older Brother printer is connected. It is connected using WiFi and my machines that use WiFi as well as those that use Ethernet can access it.

 

My reliable ethernet connection no longer works

To better understand the query, please answer the following questions:

• After restarting is your computer in normal mode or not?
• Are you getting any error message?

I suggest you to reset the modem\ router and check if the Ethernet connection works or not.

If still the issue persist then I suggest you to follow the steps from the below article
