  1. Computer crashes randomly and video card power shuts off

I'm not sure 100% if the video card power shuts off to the unit but the led's on the card that show how much power is being used completely cuts off and displays none of the led's lit up. It will happen randomly, whether I am on the desktop, playing a game, watching a movie, etc. The video signal will cut off and the only thing I can do to get the computer to display anything is to restart the system. Attached below is the zip for the collector used on my system.

Computer randomly crashes with no error log

Event ID 41 is simply the system saying that the system shut down unexpectedly.
Event ID 161 is the system saying that it couldn't capture the dump file - it requires troubleshooting to figure out why.

What you describe sounds like a video issue - but it could either be hardware or software.
I'd suggest checking your video card temps.
    Also, I'd suggest that you:
    - download a fresh set of the latest video drivers for your video card
    - uninstall the current video drivers
    - install the freshly downloaded video drivers and see if that helps.

If the problems continue, please post the BSOD logs requested in this topic (even if you're not experiencing BSOD's): BSOD - Posting Instructions

  3. Laptop randomly shuts down after latest Windows 10 update

Since the latest update of Windows 10 my computer decides to randomly shut down after every couple of minutes. First the screen goes black, then the sounds stops and after quite a while the power also goes down.

Obviously I though of cleaning the fan with a big vacuum, as suggested on My Windows 10 Computer Randomly Shuts Down . However, after doing this, the shutting down goes even quicker. I cannot even properly log-on before the shutdown takes place.

What should be my next step?

Ps. The computer is quited aged (roughly 3 - 4 years). The battery is dead enough such that I always need to have it plugged in an outlet. It might just be "done for" but I'm hoping to revive it for just a little bit more.

Video Problems and Computer Crashing Since Update

A couple of weeks ago I posted this problem I was having with my video adapter since a recent Windows Update. Uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter solved the problem. the conversation is here:

Video playback after Windows 10 update

However, now my computer randomly shuts off. No freezing or blue screen of death, just shuts off. Doesn't matter what I'm doing or even if the computer is idle. After the computer shuts off and I restart it, the video problem returns and I have to do the
uninstall/ reinstall of the video adapter thing. That's when it crashes. If I don't do the update to the video adapter, the computer doesn't crash. I tested it. Of course my video display is messed up. It's when I update the adapter, it crashes after an undetermined
amount of time. Sometimes it's an hour, sometimes it a couple of hours. Doesn't seem to be an definite pattern to it. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thank you!
