  1. Computer Crashes Randomly Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task Category 63

I have an Alienware Aurora R7 that is crashing incompletely without a BSOD. The events have been random and I have not been able to recreate it on purpose. I lose all video causing monitors to go to sleep and cannot reset video drivers using Win+ctrl+shift+B and hitting Caps Lock does not cause the light on the keyboard to light up. The computer is still partially functional because I can hear and videos or live meetings that are occurring so I still have an internet connection and there are some things running in the background. I can only do a hard shutdown by holding the power button which causes me to get no information from the event viewer besides Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Taske Category 63. Most of the rest of the information is all zeros. The one time event viewer did save some information was when I was away from my computer it happened and stayed long enough for the computer to hard shutdown on its own. The details from that are posted below. This has been happening a little over a week. I've tried troubleshooting with no success.

Temperatures are well below shutdown ranges. Both sticks of RAM passed Windows Memory Diagnostics. I did a basic, standard, and extended test as a pair and an extended test on each individually. I tested each hard drive using a Long Generic test with Seatools. I tested the SSD, HDD, and Optane individually then the HDD utilizing the Optane. I can get the CPU to 100% by opening enough Chrome windows without causing a crash. Crashes occurred with each individual 8GB stick of RAM and as a pair. Crashes also occur with HDD utilizing Optane and when they are not connected. I played Overwatch for about 30 minutes with no issues. Before I noticed that audio still played I thought I was only losing video so I have done two clean installs of Nvidia drivers that did not solve the issue.

It was purchased in March 2018. The only addition was the 500GB SSD which was added in June 2018. The computer has run for nearly 3 years with no issues and is out of warranty. This is currently my work from home PC so any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task Category: (63)

On June 4, 2020 I suddenly started having a problem with spontaneous reboot of my computer, which the first time led to an endless reboot loop, upon which I took the option of reinstalling Windows 10, and losing all my installed programs. The only things
I reinstalled were the printer drivers, Norton anti-virus, and Chrome. But the problem was not fixed ... the computer still spontaneously reboots with the event error Kernel-power, event ID 41, task category 63. I uninstalled Chrome, but the problem persisted,
very often having the computer crash and reboot when I simply clicked on the Edge browser icon. The only guess I have at the moment is that either Windows 10 updated and introduced the problem, or the Norton 360 anti-virus updated and introduced the problem.
The issue is unpredictable, but it has happened 3 times in the past hour. Any suggestions on what I can do?

  4. Computer Crashes Randomly Kernel-Power, Event ID 41, Task Category 63

Event ID 41 Task Category 63

If i get no BSODs, no errors, no events logged in event viewer apart from kernel power 41 (63), not even the windows did not shut down successfully screen (don't know if that is still in windows 10), and the computer just turns off and a few seconds later it turns back on, is it safe to assume that it is the power supply and not the motherboard? Because I have heard that this can be caused by the motherboard. Also when this happens, is it harmful for the rest of the hardware?
