Windows 10: Computer crashing after saving changes to details tab of MP3 files.

I open any folder containing MP3 music files.
Right click on any file to open up the properties page.
Click on the details tab to edit file details.
After completion of changes. I click on okay to save file.
30-60 seconds pause. Screen turns blue then to blank.
Screen reloading process takes about a minute or two.


*Does not happen on every file I edit. Sometimes I can edit up to 5 files before it crashes*


Any solutions?

Can't Change MP3 Details

Hi David,

For us to better assist you, we'd like to ask a few questions with regard to changing the details of MP3 files.

• Are you getting any error messages when changing the details of a Mp3 file? If yes, what is the exact error message?
• Have you tried any troubleshooting steps before posting this concern? If yes, what are those?

Recent (Save Files) - Change Default Settings to OneDrive

Thanks for the return. Before I undertake changing the Registry, I have a question.
The steps in my Registry, for my version of Windows 10, were a bit different, but I think I eventually got to the right spot.
The last step is to change the number of places you want to list in Recent Places. In my case, the default Max Display listed 50 as the number. So, if I were to change that number, how do I know the Save As page will be one of those places? Or, a similar question, will this registry change delete the tab Recent from my Save As page? This is what I would like to happen.
When I received my computer in Nov. 2016, the Recent tab was not listed in the Save As page. Something caused it to be added over time. Which brings me to this second question. Would there be any benefit in deleting the changed registry listing and reverting back to the default listing? See attachment.

Windows 10 File Explorer file Details are not being saved

On Windows 10 from File Explorer when right-clicking on a .mp3 file in the Downloads directory, select Properties->Details tab. Make edits, click OK. Whatever changes are made to the details are not saved. They do not show in the Details tab when looking
the next time.

Whatever changes/edits are made here seem to be ignored/forgotton. Any suggestion on how to debug/correct this so that Details can be edited and saved?
