Windows 10: computer crashing and desktop/taskbar crashing

I used to have an issue of my pc crashing all the time very briefly before attempting to reboot and not finding the os. Now I have an issue where my desktop and taskbar crash and then reload every few minutes tabbing me out of what I was doing. Also windows settings crashes when I try to open it. I have tried restoring, chkdisk, sfc scan which acknowledges corrupt system files and can't fix them, dism scan which simply describes the scan but never runs it. I have also gone into bios and noticed that there are 3 bootable options, 2 of which are corrupted and just say no os found and one of them

Desktop Computer Crashes

Hi Sumit,

My new HP desktop computer still crashes. I tried following the steps in the link above, How to do a Disk check of System drive in Windows 10 and interpret the logs - Your Windows Guide...

I am not able to complete or follow the task required to allow you to see what happened with the computer crash. I need an easier step such as a 1 2 3 or and a b c, to-do list in order for me to let you see my System logs.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Friends computer crashing

Hello, my friends computer keeps crashing when ever he tries to play SC2 ( or anything that involves extensive videocard use) , I think he has a GT280X. I'm not sure if its a heat issue, or damage to the card, or what. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?
