Windows 10: Computer crashing when not doing something graphically intensive

Hey all,Having an issue where my computer is crashing when just browsing the web or watching a video. Sometimes will crash 2 or 3 times just trying to start it up. However, if I get it to stay up long enough to open a video game or something graphically intensive, it almost never has an issue. Once I close the game though, there's a 50% chance it will crash in the next 10 minutes unless I open another game. All drivers updated from what I can see. Anything I can try out to attempt to debug this? I do get an exception break point error almost every time when shutting down my computer normally,

Computer freezes when playing graphically intensive titles

I understand how difficult it is, when the device or app won't work in the way it should. Have you tried to update you Display adapter? if not, follow these steps.

I would suggest to uninstall and reinstall the Display Adapter. Follow these steps

- Press Windows key + X select "Device Manager".

- Locate Display adapter and Expand the Display adapter to show your graphics card driver.

- Right click on the graphics card driver and choose "Uninstall".

- Restart your computer and the Display Adapter driver will automatically reinstall.

If does not work, I would suggest to update Display Adapter. Follow these steps

- Press Windows key + X select "Device Manager".

- Locate Display adapter and Expand the Display adapter to show your graphics card driver.

- Right click on the graphics card driver and choose "update driver".

- Select "Search automatically for updated driver software and then follow the instruction on the screen.

If the issue persist I would suggest to download Graphics card driver at the official website of the software manufacturer. May I know the model of your graphics card?

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Fun non graphic intensive game

I'm looking for a non graphic intensive game for my bros lappy to play. Since its a lappy its a bad idea to play shooting games (obviously). Any suggestions?
