    Computer Crashing


    So my computer has been crashing randomly.
    It started about 6 months ago. The crash is like this: monitor, mouse and keyboard all turn off but the PC is still running but it's unresponsive.

    ryzen 5 1600 cpu no overclock
    asrock b350 pro mobo
    Vega 56 gpu
    gSkill Aegis 2400 ram
    corsair CX650 power supply

    In the event viewer I'd get this error:
    The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {2593F8B9-4EAF-457C-B68A-50F6B8EA6B54}
    and APPID
    {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}
    to the user DESKTOP-GIJAQKC\Armis SID (S-1-5-21-1697466139-2452362616-207618647-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.


    I tried the methods to give permissions to those keys but it still crashes. Now it seems to crash less frequently if I'm on the desktop and not playing any games.
    PUBG and BF5 would crash after about 15 minutes of gameplay. Could this be that the power supply is failing? When it crashes and I put my hand on the back of the computer where the PSU is, it's kind of warm.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    all games crash!

    ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.

    Hello, my friends computer keeps crashing when ever he tries to play SC2 ( or anything that involves extensive videocard use) , I think he has a GT280X. I'm not sure if its a heat issue, or damage to the card, or what. Any suggestions on what could be the problem?
