Windows 10: Computer disconnects from network not during but AFTER idle

If i leave my computer for several minutes (10ish) and dont do anything and then start using it again the network suddenly disconnects.

So i am not using my computer, the internet works fine, i start using it again and the internet is not available for a minute or so.

Does this have anything to do with any power saving settings or maybe something similar?

why does my computer disconnect when it goes idle/sleep?

Just purchased a new computer.... Everytime it goes to sleep or idle, it disconnects from my network. Anyone know why? or how to fix?

 

Frequent disconnects from network

firstly many thanks for taking the time to reply. I have done as suggested and performed a clean boot. After the computer restated the network was working for about a couple of minutes before disappearing. I'm not sure what the next step should be as it would seem that none of the non-essential services is causing the problem.

 

Bluetooth still on while idle

Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
Hibernate once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

• Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
  icons.
• Look for Power Options.
• Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
• Set a timer.
