Windows 10: Computer doesn't detect the lid closing

Hi so I've tried everything I can find and nothing is working. My computer won't sleep when the lid is closed. I have done the whole control panel thing to set it to sleep and nothing. I have done countless restarts etc. I even disabled the touch screen in case that was the issue and still nothing. Plus the touch screen kept setting the screen off while it was closed if it wasn't completely shut down. Even if I put it in sleep from the power menu, it's been doing this for as long as I've had it since December so 9 ish months. Does anyone have a solution? I just continually turned it off comp

Please follow the methods mentioned below:

Method 1: Follow the steps:

• 
  Press Windows Key + X.
  
• 
  Select on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Power Options. On the left, click on "Choose what closing the lid does". Click on the drop down menu for "When I close the lid" and choose "Sleep" or "Hibernate.
  

Method 2: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting on the left pane, click on
  View All.
• Click on Power to run the troubleshooter.

Method 3: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to
reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Select Command Prompt (Admin).
• At the command prompt, type powercfg -restoredefaultschemes, and then press
  ENTER.
• At the command prompt, type exit to exit the Command Prompt window.
• Restart the computer and check with the issue.

monitor not detected while laptop lid is closed

I have a two monitor setup using separate USB C to HDMI cables for each monitors. I change the settings in the power plans to do nothing when the lid is closed for both when plugged in and not plugged in. However, when I close the lid one of the monitors
no longer displays and is not detected by my computer. It seems as though the power supply to the cable shuts off when the lid closes. It is strange because it seems that only one port of the three total I have on my laptop stays active when the lid closes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
