Windows 10: computer doesnt realize one of the ram slots

i have two 4GB ram, totally 8Gbbut recently when i launch my computer it says you're using 1 slots out of 2 so i have totally 4Gb available then when i restart my computer one or two times, it'll be fixed and task manager shows 8GBi want to know if there is an issue with this?

Greetings my friend. Like 'Mike P', my dell has only two slots as well. There are several laptops that have four (4) ram slots. Lenovo, ASUS, some HP's and some dell's. I would suggest going to a website like newegg.com, or other computer accessory place,
and looking at their memory/ram selections. Reading their details should provide some insight as to the number of slots.

Of course, if your budget allows, the more ram you have, the better the laptop will be.
