Windows 10: Computer Doesn't Require Password When Signing In

I cannot change the Account > Sign In Options > "If you've been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?" The option is greyed out with "Authentication is not required when this PC wakes from sleep.I don't know who in their right mind would want their PC to always unlock, but how do I change this? I haven't been able to find anything on the web that works, and I do not feel comfortable leaving my PC asleep when anyone can wake it up and be able to sign in.Windows 11 Home

Hi,

About your concern with typing the password after being idle, it is actually recommended to activate for security reasons.

If you wish to disable it, I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Click on Sign in options.
• On the right side, you will see required sign in.
• Change it to Never.

Upgrade to windows 10. Current password doesn t work

Current password doesn t work incorrect. Reset password requirs some usb stick which is not in my posession. Any ideas ? Try to access microsoft account but non of my email adress is recognised so cannot try this option.

Hii, my sign in options doesn"t open in settings. everything else works fine in settings. i just want to change sign in from password to passcode . It was working very good before. After new update in last month, it stopped working and after update it
asked me to relogin but did not gave me the option to set 4 digit passcode .
