Windows 10: Computer flickers to black screen then blue screens when launching games

    Computer flickers to black screen then blue screens when launching games


    When I launch majority of games on my computer, the game launches for a second or two before both of my monitors turn black and flash on and off briefly showing my desktop before my computer eventually blue screens after a few minutes. I have tried installing new graphics drivers however i have the same problem. There are a few games that run perfectly with no problem, however the majority just crash my pc.When blue screened, I am given the stop code as“Stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE”Looking at event viewer, Kernel-power, with event id 41 and task category 63 is shown as the reason fo

    My computer keeps crashing / black screening when launching games

    When I launch majority of games on my computer, the game launches for a second or two before both of my monitors turn black and flash on and off briefly showing my desktop before my computer eventually blue screens after a few minutes. I have tried installing new graphics drivers however i have the same problem.

    When blue screened, I am given the stop code as

    “Stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE”

    Looking at event viewer, Kernel-power, with event id 41 and task category (63) is shown as the reason for the critical event.

    any suggestions on what to do to solve this issue,

    Screen flickers and goes black

    Nothing worked thing is i flickers a bit then turns black on the computer screen but doesn't flicker or go black on the monitor also when i restarted my computer and got to the home page it went black again i tried the 2 videos im trying the steps below rn

    For all those people who face this error please find below the easiest solution for this error.

    1. First of all click on the Catalyst Control Center.
    2. Now click on ‘3D Application Settings’.
    3. All you have to do is change the ‘Wait for Vertical Refresh’ option to ‘On, unless application specifies’.
