Windows 10: Computer freezes and after 5 - 45 minutes I get a blue screen

The computer freezes at random times while gaming or surfing the internet. After 5-25 minutes I get the "blue screen of death" saying it encountered an error and will automatically restart. At the bottom it says contact Microsoft support, DPC Watchdog Violation. If it freezes for longer than the 25 minutes I have to manually turn it off by the button on the tower. How do I fix this problem?

strange issues (black screen, blue screen, and freezes)

Memory or PSU gets my vote......although the 8800GT is getting alittle long in the tooth now.....but I'll stick with my 1st 2 suggestions.....get into the bios and check your voltage on your +3.3/ +5/and +12 lines and list them here.
