Windows 10: computer freezes randomly Bios update

Updated my BIOS last week and I keep on getting random freezes on my laptop.


The whole screen is normal but I cannot move the cursor nor access the start button. I cannot move my mouse or type anything. Eventually I have to long press the power button and the windows will start normally. But after using in a couple of hours it freezes right back up.


A couple of reading random forums later and digging through my laptop. Whenever Host process windows stops working it freezes up.

Windows 10 freezes randomly

Hello,

I have the latest windows updates, drivers, and BIOS.

The issue was caused by the Radeon drivers - i explained in my previous post.

To solve the issue I run a program called ClockBlocker that prevents the graphics card from downclocking and freezing the computer.

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
