Windows 10: Computer freezing after a couple minutes while playing games.

I've had this problem for a while now where I would be playing a game such as CS:GO or Destiny 2 or even just minecraft and had issues with the computer screen freezing and the audio also freezing after around 10 seconds of the screen freezing. When I check the temp of my GPU, it says around the 30-40 range while just using a browser and 40-50 when I'm in a game. Games freezing after a couple minutes forcing me to restart my computer

My games keep freezing after a couple minutes of playing them forcing me to restart my computer, this has been happening for a few weeks now and I can't find any solution. It does only seem to happen on games that are more hardware heavy tho such as: Dying Light and Subnautica. I can play games such as The Escapists without any issues.

My specs are:

Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7Ghz

Rx 580 4GB

16GB DDR4 Ram

550W LitePower PSU

MAG TOMAHAWK B550

I really need help if anyone is having the same issue

 

Steam LEGO games keep freezing every couple of seconds

I appreciate your reply. Let's try to isolate this issue so that we could find a way for you to play your games on your new computer. I recommend that you try the troubleshooting steps provided on this
link and check if this will eliminate the freezing issues in your games. In addition, I also
suggest that you temporarily disable your antivirus on your computer before trying to play your games. Some antivirus can cause your games to freeze due to blocking some of its features.

Can't play Hit It Rich game and system freezes

I can understand how frustrating it would be. This issue might be due to corrupted profile or if the game is not installed completely. I suggest you to follow these steps and let us know if it works.

Could you please help me with the below questions:

• Are you aware of any changes happened on the computer prior to this issue?
  
• Have you tried playing this game on other browser (Google chrome or Mozilla) and check for the issue?
  

Step 1: Uninstall or Repair the game.

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
   
3. Right click on the Hit it Rich app > Select Repair or uninstall it.
4. Reinstall the application and check for the issue.
   

Step 2: Create a new local account.

The reason might be due to user account corruption, so I would suggest you to ‘Create
a local user or administrator account’ and check if the issue persists.

Note: You will not see all your files under your default file location.
So your data will be saved under C:\Users\User_name.
