    Computer freezing and needing hard restart every time


    Hi, i generally do not post questions on here, but this time i really don't know what to do.My computer keeps randomly freezing at apparently random times. Everything on the screen freezes, sometimes the audio glitches and goes into a static, and there is no reaction from anything even the small light for on the Lock Caps button, unresponsive. Some times, after a while it shows a BSOD with the error message CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, while other times it just stays frozen and I have to hold the power button to restart it. The only times this happens less often is when I keep the PC on my desk,

    Random Computer Freezing - Need to hard restart after freezing No BSOD


    Hello,

    I'm going to post two different scenarios that happens when my computer needs a hard restart


    1. My computer freezes completely (literally no movement on the screen or anything, it's not slow it's frozen). And an extremely loud buzzing sound comes out of my headphones or speakers.
    2. The same thing as above except without the loud buzzing noise.

    I saw that this happened to someone else who had both the speakers and the headphones plugged in at the same time. However, scenario #2 just happened to me 10 minutes ago even though I only had my headphones plugged in.

    I built this computer six months ago and it's the first computer I've ever built. I assume it's a driver issue but I can't really pinpoint the problem since no BSOD appears on the screen and I have no higher computer knowledge.

    Computer Hard Freezes Randomly - No Error logs or Memory dumps


    I posted on Sevenforums a few days ago regarding this issue:
    I was suggested to check for temps (all were normal) and perform a clean install of Windows 10 (I had upgraded from Windows 7). I had another hard freeze today similar to the ones I was having before. The issue is back and I'm unsure of what to do next. Is this no longer a software issue if reinstalling the OS was unsuccessful?
