    As said above, my computer has been freezing and bluescreening over the last year. It comes in periods, where i can have a couple months of no freezing but then after that it starts again for maybe a month or two before it stops for a couple months. My hardware is as follows:IntelR CoreTM i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz, 2904 Mhz, 6 Cores, 6 Logical Processors not overclockedASUS WS C246 PRO motherboard32 GB ram 2x Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO SL DDR4 3600Mhz 8GB & 2x bare PCB from prebuilt 8gbPALIT RTX 3070 GAMINGPRO graphics cardCorsair RM750x power supplyCorsair MP600 CORE Gen 4 PCIe SS

    Random freezes or shut downs

    Completely random freezing/shutdowns on a system with no recent hardware changes, and hard drive, memory, and PSU fine, usually means a software issue (file corruption or malicious software). I suggest following DavidV's recommendations.

    Computer Hard Freezes Randomly - No Error logs or Memory dumps


    I posted on Sevenforums a few days ago regarding this issue:
    I was suggested to check for temps (all were normal) and perform a clean install of Windows 10 (I had upgraded from Windows 7). I had another hard freeze today similar to the ones I was having before. The issue is back and I'm unsure of what to do next. Is this no longer a software issue if reinstalling the OS was unsuccessful?

    Hrrmmmm... but wouldnt formatting and reinstalling windows fix the issue since the virus/trojan/spyware isnt on the system any longer?
