    Computer goes to "Install Windows" screen after idle for an hour or so


    Over the last week or two, on many occasions I have left my computer unattended for an hour or so and when I've come back I am greeted with a screen prompting me with options to install windows asking preferred language pack, keyboard layout etc. If I press escape on this screen, and 'ok' the 'are you sure?' confirmation, I then get a black screen with a blinking cursor. If I then power off and start again, Windows starts up normally and all my programs, files, etc. are as they were before the install screen came up.System infoDell Optiplex 7010Processor IntelR CoreTM i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40G

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Computer goes to sleep when idle.

    Since I have installed Windows 7 my computer goes to sleep everytime it idle's. Like earlier today, I was installing WoW and I went to go watch a movie and came back and my computer was off, I powered it on and it resumed installing.

    And just now, I was watching TV came back and my computer was off and when I powered it on it BSOD.

    Is there a setting where I can turn this off? Because this never happend in Vista, and this started happening yesterday when I installed Windows 7.

    computer screen goes black but computer still running windows 10

    I am using HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC, with windows 10 single language 64 bit Operating System, with 8 GB RAM.

    I am facing TWO major issues:

    1. After leaving the system idle for more then an hour, the computer screen goes black but computer still running windows 10, and it does not wake up. (no issue arise, if i continuously work on the system, even for hours)
    2. But after working for full day, when a tried to shutdown the system, the same situation arises (i.e. computer screen goes black but computer still running windows 10, but never shut down).
    so in both the case i have to use forced shutdown, (by press and hold power button).

    had also executed check disk but no problem found. I doubt my system would crash one day.
