    STOP the Screen Snap To. Preferrably PERMANENTLY

    Trying to STOP the Screen Snap To. It is driving me crazy.

    Settings Multitasking Snap Windows is OFF.

    Registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowArrangementActive=0

    But the damn thing STILL resizes and mucks up my desktop making work very difficult.

    Someone suggested using the screen magnifier dialog and toggling between its views, but when I tried it turned my mouse icon into a huge black opaque rectangle, which I could only get rid of by starting task manager and killing the magnifier (very difficult with just the keyboard).

    I do not know how this very annoying "feature" was turned on in the first place, and I would really like a solution that fixes it permanently and forever in case it ever recurs.

    WORST MS FEATURE SINCE THE DANCING PAPERCLIP.

    Aero Snap won't snap to half screen, always only to full screen

    Hi, I'm wondering about the history here- what happened before 'So' that led to this?
    - an update
    - a system restore
    - anything else you might think of.

    Please check these settings:

    If those are ok:
    As you're running 1809, you might expect this to be fixed when you upgrade to 1903 or 1909.
    Otherwise, if you were to create a new user for test purposes, log in as that user, and found the same thing happening, an in-place upgrade repair might fix this. (Same principle as upgrading, but you might question its utility compared to upgrading at this point).

    I have notice a problem recently that when I snap windows to half the screen, they will next time open in a very small (<quarter size) and half off the screen. I have found several threads on how to fix the default size to something sensible again, but every
    time I use snap again (which is always, its a great feature) the problem returns. Its really irritating to have to go fishing for a tiny piece of the header bar in order to drag it back into position. Any help appreciated!

    This is on a 1440 monitor, on Windows 7.
