Computer has trouble with new 4k monitor (~10fps)

I tested the new 32" 4k monitor at home with my laptop and it was fine. My work machine has trouble with it. Dragging windows around and any motion within apps is a bit laggy. I have a 10th gen I7 and integrated graphics. I'm completely guessing here, but I'd say it's running at 15fps. it speeds up a bit when I unplug the 3rd 1080 monitor and a bit more when I unplug the 2nd. When I pick up a window and rapidly drag it around the screen, it drops to 5 fps. When I did that with the task...

Issue with windows and a new 4K monitor.

    Hello,

I just got a new 4K monitor and was all excited to get this up and running as it's a big upgrade from my 8 year old 1080p one. When I plug the new monitor in, windows font and images as well as google chrome or anything else I use seem a little fuzzy. I run a dual monitor setup and the side monitor is still a 1080p and if I look at the same thing on the 1080p it looks way more crisp.

When I go to display settings I set the resolution to 4k, but windows "recommends" 1080p (see image). I don't understand why it recommends that--as if it doesn't recognize the monitor is 4k? If I switch the resolution to the 1080p it looks more crisp and the blurriness resolves.

Any suggestions? I've spent hours tinkering with scaling, adjusting the 'cleartype' text options, making sure gfx card drivers are up to date, installed monitor drivers and no luck.

    Monitor: Samsung S28AG70.

Gfx card: Nvidia RTX 2080 TI

I'm using an HDMI cable which is supposedly rated for 4k@60FPS. I've ordered a displayport cable in the hopes that might make a difference but it's not here yet.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

    4K Monitor Loses 4K Option

Last night (11 Dec 2015) there was a Windows 10 update (I am running Windows 10 Pro). This morning my 4k monitor (ASUS PB287Q) was showing up as 1080p, and Settings does not recognize that this is a 4K monitor. The 4K resolution simply does not show up as
an option. Nor does the graphics card (NVIDIA GeForece GT 370) recognize that it is 4K.

Why would Microsoft mess with any of that? I find this really troubling. Do I reinstall a driver for the monitor? They don't have a driver specifically for Windows 10, just Windows 8.
