Windows 10: Computer Help . . .

This computer is a, Dell Vostro 3583, laptop.. Running, Windows 10 pro.
My problem is . . . I've changed, too many things.

So now, I'm back on the Forum. Looking for help?
My problem is adjusting, the space between the, desktop icons.
Just too, many times!

In the beginning, my desktop icons, were just too far apart!
YouTube, had many videos. Explaining, how to do it.

It;s a, registry setting that ends in, WindowsMetric,
There's a, horizontal and a vertical setting.

I put in, the recommended values. And, it was perfect!
But, after a while. I thought the icons, were just a little too close.

So, I went back to that same place, in the registry.
And, made what I thought, were good changes?

But, uh oh. I saw, nothing on my desktop . . .
Except the slideshow, I had running?

I would like to reset ,,this computer. And, remove all data.
I have everything backed up, to a USB.

The changes, I made in the registry, Led me to, this point.
Would the registry, be returned, to its original state?

If not, that's okay. I still want, to do this.
When I restart, this computer. I want to see, an empty desktop.
Then I can restore everything, from the USB drive.

Then I should, be able to take care, of the registry changes.
But, I "don't" want to reinstall Windows. Like a new install!!!!!

I just want to do, a reset. Removing all data.

I have two, Dell Vostro 3583, laptop computers. Both running, Windows 10 pro.
This computer, I'm typing on, works fine. The other computer, has a problem.
I'm not using a cable company I use Wi-Fi

On the second computer, this is what I did:
I, Installed, the operating system. When you, turn it on. You go through steps like.
1. English
2. One keyboard Etc

Then, it says." Let's connect, to a network". This is where, they get.
The cart before the horse. To connect, to a network. I normally select:
pic-ext-guest. But, I had to, log into, WiFi. To get to, a Network.

And, that's where, it stands now. Operating system installed.
But not, connected to a "Network".

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:
