    I am running Windows 10 64bit PRO
I installed a softphone and skype and it keeps hardlocking my PC, I did everything from update drivers to even reformat fresh install and it still hardlocks , here is the info I get out of the event viewer I am including the friendly and xml view, this does it like 4 times in a row then hardlocks the computer
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52} and APPID {4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

Are you sure they are connected? Do you get this error if Skype is not used? I (and everyone else) has had this DCOM error forever (since Windows 8 at least, possibly Windows 7 I can't remember)

Microsoft have recently said that it can be ignored : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ws-server-2016

Skype however, since the version released last September, has caused my PC (after 20 or 30 seconds of a call) to either freeze (requiring hard power off) or crash with BSOD. The reason shown in the dumps is my graphics driver and if you google "skype freeze graphics driver" you'll find plenty of similar issues. The solution suggested is always to upgrade your graphics driver.

My laptop is too old (2010) and so there is no driver to update but if yours is newer you should try to look into that. Either upgrade your graphics driver or failing that try running the legacy Skype rather than the Web access or store app - they all work differently. I found using the legacy Skype and Wi-Fi not cellular worked best but didn't get a real solution.

Do update your system specs anyway and let us know what version of Skype you are using.
