Windows 10: Computer is not recognizing camera when trying to transfer images MSC but it does if image...

I have always been able to connect my camera via USB and transfer images MSC. I have been transferred images and editing on this computer for about a year now at least biweekly if not weekly. However, when I connected today Sony A7IV it acted as if the camera was not connected at all. I turned the camera off and selected Image Transfer MTP and it did recognize it, so I know it is not the port or the cable. I connected the camera to another computer and tried the Image Transfer MSC and it recognized without any issue and the files were accessible.

How do I transfer images from a Nikon camera to my computer using Windows 10?

 

Class Not Recognized error opening images and camera crashes computer

I'm using Windows 10. I can view image thumbnails in the file folders. But trying to open any image, I get "Class Not Recognized" and the image won't open. I also can no longer use my camera or external HD camera - as soon as the camera turns on, the computer
crashes and restarts.

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?
